Once you’ve submitted all the necessary information, we start to work on your design.
STEP 2
Your design team get’s to work
The Kurated Team is a small, hands on team with personal and customized approach to interior design, led by lead designer Karolina Molnar, virtual assistants with strong background in interior design, a design architect and assistants who handle sample ordering from our curated sample warehouse, so you can touch and feel every component that goes into transforming your space.
STEP 3
Review and finalize your design
This is the first draft of your design. From here on, you will give us feedback and we will revise until you’re 100% happy with the end design.
At the end of this stage, you will have a 2D flatlay, a 3D Rendering and a Kurated box full of samples that includes fabrics, metals, wallpapers, draperies, wood and tile samples and suggested paint chips. Within the box, you will also receive specific layout instructions and furniture cards so you can put your own flatlays together and get excited for the next stage of the process.
STEP 4
Purchase your design in one click
We source from various vendors, both retail as well as “To The Trade”. We put our best efforts forward to match online prices and sometimes we are even more competitive. If we can’t beat the online price, we will let you know, so you can purchase it directly from the vendor. We are 100% transparent in everything we do.
A thorough process from day one through styling
Here is what is not included in our design packages.
We currently don’t include lighting and electrical plans in our design structure. Any state/county/city permits necessary for structural changes will be supplied by your contractor or architect working on your project. You can relay this information to us during the onboarding process. Elements like plans for custom built-ins, ‘to the trade’ custom furniture, COM & COL (customer owned material/leather) custom furniture are not part of our design packages as these are location dependent design approaches.
We, however, do provide customizations from vendor supplied fabric and material choices but are unable to supply our own at this time.
How do I determine my budget for the project?
Often times, our clients don’t know how to determine their budget for an average room design. We help you with the process with our ‘3 Level Budget Estimation Guide’. Be sure to check it out here.
We recommend an average budget to start from $20,000 - $25,000 and up, to ensure median quality products are being sourced. We are all about quality instead of quantity. Our client’ budgets range anywhere from $20,000 all the way up to $300,000+.
Once you have determined your own budget and what you are comfortable with, we keep that number in mind when designing your space(s), however, depending on fabrics and various materials chosen in the design process, the price can come down, but also go up as well.

Kurated is a ‘one stop shop’ interior design platform that offers boutique, customized hands on design services that are closest to what a traditional interior designer would offer, at a more approachable price point. Think of Kurated as an online design center with custom design solutions but also with over 100 vendors to source products from.
We pride ourselves with having access to world wide samples of materials we carefully package into our biodegradable cardboard boxes, that are shipped right to your door. All sourced products can then be purchased straight from your design dashboard - with just one click.
Who are 'Kurated' designers?
Kurated is made up from a small team of design professionals, led by lead designer and founder of the platform Karolina Molnar. Karolina is a full service traditional interior designer currently operating in the Long Island, New York area, but wanted to extend her full service approach nation wide. Kurated has over 50 years of experience combined among our team members who consist of a design architect, a design virtual assistant (VA), a 3D rendering team of experts and administrative/purchasing team.
